Was telling my husband about Economics class—->

Professor: …the idea of self sufficiency is a thing of the past.

Me: *giggling

Professor: are you laughing at me?

Me: no, it’s just that my brother moved to a commune in Hawaii recently, so I thought it was funny.

Professor: How’s that working out for him?

Me: Idk. He doesn’t talk to me. I’ve heard he’s doing well though, and that he likes the taste of fresh bananas.

Girl next to me: (whispers) I have a brother like that too!

So as I’m telling my husband I say- and I was like “whatever” lol. Because she said it like her brother was a squib or something.

(Proceed to explain what a squib is)…. still doesn’t get it.
